<rant>
Now who thought of making 'tail -<lines>' obsolete in favor of 'tail -n <lines>'. Yes I know using -n is a lot cleaner but a lot of scripts and installs are broken now.
</rant>
Is there any workaround except for editing all my scripts and those self-inflatable installs or installing an older version of tail? (head has the same prob btw) _________________ temporarily out of order |

You could patch the utils up to accept the old format as well, but of course it is required to sooner or later follow the new format. |
