like destribed on http://www.linuxmobil.org/Mobile-Guide.db/mobile-guide-p1c3s7-from-a-second-machine-micro-linux.html
but i can't even set an ip-adress on ppp0. i tried it on my mashine with redhat and gentoo.
i have ppp supported in the kernel and the error message is:
Code: |

Aloha !
Okie, 3 options :
1: throw away the laptop and buy a new one (naahhh just kidding)
2: take out the HD and hang it in another system that has a CD.
Just emerge only the bse system with i386 and minimun flags.
Then put your HD back in the laptop en voila.....
NB: Make sure you have the network/modem drivers installed BEFORE you hang the HD back...
Annnnnd : option 3: Use an external-CD-drive (Like a shuttle)...
Maybe, just maybe your lappie is new enough to understand it can boot from it.
