alsa update

Hi folks,

how to update from alsa 0.5.0 to alsa 0.9.x?
What happens to the packages which i have merged before and which
depends on alsa?
Will emerge recompile them automatically or will i have to check that for myself?

Any experiences?

I just finished fighting with this. You do have to recompile dependencies. And the module structure changes as well, so you'll need to change some configs in /etc. (Most notably, modules.autoload)
