UT2004 + libSDL1.2.7 = Frustration

Ever since updating libSDL to 1.2.7, UT2k4 refuses to load past the spash screen. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had the same problem. As soon as I installed it even neverball refuses to play bc of sth like that:
no opengl driver could be found in library

thats not exactly what it said but this comes pretty close. If you just want to play ut... downgrade libSDL again.(It's still masked right?) But I'd also like to know if somebody knows how to make 1.2.7 work.
