You can use
Code:
dmesg

to show your bootup messages.

How about logs after the kernel has booted? I get some quick errors that fly by when (I think) init.d starts, but they don't seem to affect performance...everything works fine. I woud like to know what they are more closely. THey don't show up in dmesg.

Can you find them in /var/log/messages?

look through the /var/log directory

If those errors where caused by apache, you'll find them in /var/log/httpd for example

went through everything (again, but maybe I missed it who knows) in /var/log and it's not in there. This stuff comes up after it says "welcome to gentoo" and starts booting modules and whatnot. All my modules do work, however.

If it keeps up and I get worried, I will repost in another more appropriate forum. Thanks for the tips
