Getting nice framebuffer.

i've looked some framebuffer topic but no one talk about having a framebuffer like the install. I would like to know if it is possible to get the same framebuffer than the install on the gentoo system? And how.

I've seen the bootsplash howto, but there is no patch for 2.4.25, where can i found a patch for 2.4.25? What solution can i have?

The bootsplash howto is what you want. Also, I believe gentoo-sources are already patched w/ bootsplash.

Or you could take this oppertunity to upgrade to the faster and perfectly stable 2.6 branch
