|

Hi there!
I'm using:
- nvidia-drivers on a GeForce Ti4400
- 2.6.5 kernel-version
- GNOME with GDM
- a FB-console @ 1024x768
The text-consoles work fine until GDM starts.
When GDM starts up, there are only green and blue-shaded boxes on the text-consoles, but the X-session works fine!
The consoles still work, since i can execute commands, though i only see scrambled boxes on the screen.
Any hint on dealing with that problem? |

I had that problem for several months. It was some version of nvidia's drivers that screwed it up. Recently when I got the love-sources kernel everything started working even with newer versions of the nvidia drivers. It probably has some patch for the framebuffer or something |

erm...
I'm using nvidia-kernel 1.0.4496 since i got to gentoo - but since i completely reinstalled my gentoo-system (and updated nearly everything except nvidia-drivers) it just doesn't work anymore...
I'm pretty sure, that's not the nvidia-driver, which causes my problem |
