Is there a way to get my menu to update itself in KDE?
I emerged the latest version of openoffice 1.1.1 and it still shows up as 1.1.0 in the KDE menu. If I click on OpenOffice.org 1.1.0 writer then 1.1.1 writer opens up!
It would be nice if I could get all those 1.1.0s changed to 1.1.1s, thanks. |

I don't know why that didn't get updated but all you have to do to resolve it is to right click the kmenu button and choose Menueditor. From there you can change the names manually... |

I had a somewhat similar problem with OpenOffice.
It may be (or may not be) a bug in the OpenOffice ebuild.
After installing openofice-bin 1.1.0, I got 2 menu entries for OpenOffice. After checking, one was in my $HOMEKDE/share/applnk and the second one in $KDEDIR/share/applnk
I removed one and everything was good until I emerged openoffice-bin 1.1.1. The menu for 1.1.0 was kept and a new lenu was added for 1.1.1. I had to remove manually the 1.1.0 directory. |
