|
|
Hello,
I have a strange behaviour using xorg and gnome....
The problem is not the XKB activation error....(In fact I have it but I don't think it's related).
The problem is that my keyboard doesn't work under Gnome with Xorg (worked with Xfree). More precisely : I can't use it under gdm to log in, can log in, but when I try typing anything under gnome nothing appens...80
And the strangest : when I launch the keyboard-shortcut configurator it detects well the key codes... (not a xorg pb?)
conf :
my keyboard : logitech internet navigator (usb)
gnome-2.6
xorg (layout fr)
kernel 2.6.4
What I tried :
switching XKbdRules to xfree86 and to Xorg (keyboard type is logiinav or smthing like that)
changed the settings in gnome (tried pc105 , lagitech nav, etc...)
If anyone has a clue... I would be glad to hear it ;o) |

For the ones who are interessed, the solution is pretty dumb : desactivate all multimedia keys....
Next Step : make the Multimedia keys to work |

Try hotkeys for your multimedia buttons. That's what I use on my desktop, and pbbuttonsd on my iBook. I experimented with the gnome settings, but they just screwed everything up. _________________ Ask Questions the Smart Way - by ESR |
