|
|
I've emerged wine (version 20040408) and can run stuff like:
>wine notepad.exe
but when I try to run Soulseek all I get is a windows messagebox telling me:
"SoulSeek's installation is corrupt or missing. Please reinstall SoulSeek."
It works perfectly under Windows. On Wines homepage it's written:
"Works flawless under wine, after a number of native dll's are applied. "
What does that mean and how do I do it? _________________ Be cool, stay in School! |

That means that you should copy certain dlls (don't know which ones) from a windows installation into your ~/.wine/fake_windows/Windows/System dir and then make a section in your ~/.wine/config for the app that says which dlls you want to run native versions of (there are examples in the config file for doing this). |

Also consider pySoulseek. It seems to work better than nicotine for me. |
