|
|
Okay, I used to be a Debian guy who ran gnome 2.4 @ 1152x768 using the nvidia driver. I came over to gentoo, again, but now I am having funky stuff going on with my resolution settings in gnome 2.6.
In my XFConfig file if I have my resolution section say
Subsection "Display"
Depth 24
Modes "1152x864"
ViewPort 0 0
EndSubsection
Then in gnome I have "1400x1050" "1280x1024" "1280x960" "1024x768" and so on.. but I am missing "1152x864"
If I add lines to that same section such as:
Subsection "Display"
Depth 24
Modes "1152x864" "1024x768"
ViewPort 0 0
EndSubsection
then for some reason when I boot back into gnome the maximum resolution is 1024x768 and lower. I no longer have any options for 1280 and up. I just want to be back at my comfortable 1152x864 setting but I can't seem to get it working. Any clues?
running
kernel 2.6.5
nvidia 5336 kernel driver
