Next weekend on saturday. If i woke up at 1pm got a few jolt colas and locked my self in my room with a live cd network cable(intenet) and handbook would i have the gentoo runninh the next morning if i went to bed at 1am. I am a noob.
Anyway i will spend 2 days on it.
Link me to all the revelent install documents i'd need to get it up and runnihg desktop and all. (AMD 2700+ ,512 meg 333mhz) |

This is the 2nd post I've seen you ask for links. Are you really that lazy?
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/index.xml That should be everything you need, and if you need more, everything is accessable in just a few clicks on gentoo.org. As far as installing goes, it only took me a few hours the first couple times I did it, but that doesn't include the time it took to compile xfree and get that up and running with fluxbox - which added a few extra hours. 12 hours should be a good amount of time to get all the essentials up and running though. |

Depends. If you're gonna do a stage1 install it'll take longer. Stage2 and 3 would be faster. |

It took me one day and a night ( to emerge xorg, don't know how many hours it took) to install most of the things I use. that includes Gentoo from stage1, xorg, fluxbox, rox, opera, xmms, vim with all dependencies. |

Thanks for the responces. Yeah i have used the handbook on my first attemp i just needed to know if that had every thing.
