hey im having 2 problems
when i boot up into gentoo (trying to get into gentoo)
i get 2 errors
<0>Kernel panic: Attempted to kill init!
<4>keyboard: Timeout - AT keyboard not present?(ed)
keyboard: Timeout - AT keyboard not present?(f4)
now i know why i am getting a keyboard error
it is a wireless keyboard that connects through USB
however i could have sworn that i enabled USB support in my kernel config
could someone please tell me what i need to enable for a wireless keyboard and mouse (USB)
also, the init i have no idea
all other forums i saw were because init was not present
so that really didnt help
however, even when i plug in a normal keyboard, gentoo will not boot due to this
could someone please help here also
one more thing, how would i go about reconfiging my kernel and installing it without having to start from step 1?
help on any of these 3 topics would be most appriciated
thanks |
