Grepping through the kernel sources reveals that the error is generated by the Brooktree Bt878/Bt879 driver for ALSA. - see the file Code: | /usr/src/linux/sound/pci/bt87x.c | I was a bit too lazy to figure out the exact cause (the 0x8290 error code consists of a lot of PCI error constants or-ed together - see /usr/src/linux/include/linux/pci.h for them - for example 0x8000 is PCI_STATUS_DETECTED_PARITY). Doesn't look serious through, unless you've been getting a *lot* of them. _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto

I have a lot of messages of this type.
I will see in the kernel options because this is my second install of gentoo with this card (Wintv 2000 Deluxe) and I did not have this kind of message before
Thanks |
