does the current ebuild script currently support finding newer versions, and grabbing that source instead???

I downloaded the package from openoffice, and followed it's install directions, it's working just fine, only thing is it doesn't show as one of the ebuild's, which I can live with :)

I know that the 641x sources are able to be emerged (providing you unmask the package) but Ive heard of compile times on the magnitude of a day or more for OpenOffice...

Just out of interest, is font rendering OK for all those that have OOo installed? On mine the fonts are awful. I would really like to fix this as I've seen OOo on a friends box and the fonts were stunning.
