hAi :-)

ich betreibe meinen parralellport scanner mit SANE (xscane bzw. kooka). XSane läuft als Plugin in gimp1 wunderbar. Nun habe ich mich vor kurzem von meinem alten gimp getrennt und das neue gimp2 installiert. Ich finde Gimp2 einfach toll (obwohl ich noch einiges verbessern würde ;-) ), leider ist das xsane-plugin nicht vorhanden. Ich habe auch schon xsane neu kompiliert, leider ohne Erfolg. Weiß jemand ne Lösung? Danke!

Such' im bugzilla nach xsane, da findst ein ebuild mit patch für gimp2.
Im gimp1 läuft xsane dann allerdings nicht mehr, aber das kann man verschmerzen. 8)

Wie installiere ich das? Sorry für die dumme Frage das steht sicher auch irgendwo aber kann mir das mal jemand schnell und einfach erklären?

Ich habe mir den patch und das ebuild runtergeladen und in meinen portage tree gepackt. Ich dachte ja das das ebuild alles allein macht wenn ich es mit emerge aufrufe. Leider bekomme ich nur folgende Fehlermeldung:

hatte ja ich gemacht. Ich hab auch noch digest-xsane-0.92 in digest-xsane-0.92 umkopiert, da emerge das auch angemeckert hatte.

Der Patch findet die Dateien nicht die er patchen soll. ich hab in meinem /var/tmp/portage auch mal nen link von xsane-0.92 auf xsane-0.92-r1 gemacht. brachte auch nix

Einen Digest macht man mit "ebuild /path/to/ebuild-xyz.ebuild digest". Bei'm rumkopieren kommt nix sinnvolles raus.

BTW:
Und für solche Basteleien empfiehlt es sich ein portage-overlay directory (zb /usr/local/portage) anzulegen, ansonsten ist nach dem nächstem emerge sync wieder alles weg.

ich habe jetzt mal versucht den patch manuell anzuwenden. da bekomme ich folgenden fehler:

Hat leider wieder nicht geklappt. Der Patch wurde nicht mit installiert. Dann hab ich das ebuild von bugzilla genommen und schon war das gleiche wie vorher. Wird der patch irgendwann im ofiziellen portage tree drin sein? Dann warte ich lieber solange.
