|
|
I've searched Google up and down for [linux "ftp client" "bandwidth limit"] and [linux "ftp client" bandwidth], and cannot find any client that allows me to set an upload or download bandwidth limit.
I am trying to upload a 700 MB file to SunSITE.dk, and the client I'm using right now, ncftp, uses my entire upload bandwidth, making all other activity (including downloading) crawl.
Can anyone recommend a client with this functionality? |

net-ftp/lftp can do so. Start lftp and type Code: | set net:limit-total-rate <number_in_bytes> |

Excellent. Thanks a lot.
lftp's web site has no mention of bandwidth management, which is probably why Google didn't pick it up.
edit: never mind: " Transfer rate throttling for each connection and for all connections in sum." |

gftp has an option in the network tab to throttle your bandwidth. |
