I am taking a C++ class at high school, and we use something called turbo c++ to write the programs. I would like to be able to work on my programs at home on linux, but I can't seem to find any good IDE (vim and emacs are complicated). Also, we use libraries that I'm not sure work with linux. (like gotoxy which moves to a specified location on the screen) and the apstring, apvector, and apmatrix libraries (i am guessing that these will work since they don't seem operating system specific). I hope someone knows if there are equivelent librarires for linux. _________________ Radeon 9500 pro on Pentium 4 1.6ghz running Gentoo Linux (kernel 2.4) |

I can't say about the libraries, but as for IDE, take a look at KDevelop.
I haven't used it myself, but I've heard it's quite good.
Didn't Turbo C++ die a long time ago? _________________ Beetle B.

gentooalex: about the libraries. if u get a good IDE there will most likely be an lib update for it to work like Turbo. Turbo is know for not going along with ASCII same with the borland graphics lib's. |
