Hello,
I'm a Linux newbie... I'm on step 7.b. of the install guide, and when I type "emerge gentoo-dev-sources", I get a segmentation fault error. After that, I, mistakenly, typed exit too many times and I've logged out of the system. So, two questions-- 1) is there a default root password so I can log back in, and 2), is there something I'm missing when I try the "emerge gentoo-dev-sources" command?
I'm trying to install Gentoo on an AMD 64 system using an ASUS K8V board.
Thanks!

You can boot from the live CD, mount the partions and to the chroot and env-update and continue from where you have stoped.
