|
|
Hi,
I have upgraded my system from 2.4 naar 2.6.5, i have followed every step in the handbook. I have changed my lilo conf to boot with the new kernel. No problems so far
until I reboot the system I choose gentoo to boot. then he says loading... , my monitor clicks to another resolution, my monitors shows a black screen but he loads furter, I can login in as root but I don't see anything on the screen, I can blindly reboot. that's how I know that the kernel works.
Who can help me I don't know how to fix the problem.
grtz

you probably have the wrong vga mode for your framebuffer.
Change the line "vga=xxx" in lilo.conf or grub.conf to "vga=788" _________________ If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit. |

You can boot off the LiveCD, mount your partitions (like in the install handbook) and edit the LILO files from there... _________________ Docs, Tips & Tricks at the Gentoo Wiki page. |
