3ddesktop keybinding problem

everytime i run 3ddesk by pressing a hotkey, it runs 3ddesk twice rather than once. the following url is the only solution i have found for this problem. has anyone else had similar problems and, more importantly, is there a solution besides disabling "keyboard repeat"?

I'm not sure if this will help, but I had the same problem for a bit. I'm using kde 3.2 and when I added 3desk to the K menu I set the name and command fields, both, to 3ddesk. After getting frustrated with it I tried changing the name field to 3ddesktop, and now it works fine. I don't see how keyboard repeat would have any effect on that, and it may be two different problems with the same symptoms, but I thought I'd say something just in case. Hope it helps.
