I've been using qmail + vmailmgr + omail-admin for several years, quite hapilly.

Since the MyDoom affair, more and more people tell me that they don't receive mails from me or they end up in the "bulk" bin. I presume it's because of my domain name... tecknojunky.com

So I bought a new domain and added it to qmails config files and assigned it to the same user managing virtual accounts for tecknojunky.com

Much to my surprise, all the aliases I had are now also listed into my new domain space. So, my email address stephane<at>tecknojunky.com, which is an alias that forwards mails to my real user on the mail box, well, stephane<at>newdomain.com will also forward exactly the same and I presume it will also happen whenever I will add new domains.

Not quite the behavior I want.

Did someone experienced this? Is it normal? How do you manage your multiple domains with vmailmgr?

Thanks 4 the insights.

Each domain should be under a different user account. That is the main difference between using vpopmail and vmailmgr... Vpopmail uses one user account to manage all virtual domains. Conversely, vmailmgr uses an individual user account for each virtual domain.

Vmailmgr was setup this way so that each virtual domain could be managed by a seperate administrator.
