ATI radeon 7000/VE r100 (i have read the faq 3 times) help

ok, read the faqs alot and i cant seem to find the answer to my problem

im trying to install the following video card under a 2004.0 gentoo system with updated portage, now if my video card was a AGP card i probably woulndt be having these problems i am now, but i geuss im not that lucky.

read alot of fourms and came up with this

a guy said to enable AGP support under a kernel well i redid my kernel recently with agp support wont hurt nothing, but

i emerged xfree && xfree-drm

on the ATI faq under user docs in gentoo.org it says that emerge ati-drivers is for ati cards r200+ (dosnt apply to me)

so, was this a typo and do these drivers apply to me cuz i dont wana do a 3 hour compile for nothing and where can i enable pci support for a 64DDR r100 7000/VE video card, after that my last question would be, should i just continue with xconfig after that.

it have loaded agpgart and radeon module in my 2.4.22 kernel,but the 3D accerlation doesn't work ,about 400FPS in glxgears.
and in 2.6.5.r1 new kernel,cann't load radeon.o.and i found that emerge xfee-drm install the radeon.o to 2.4.22 kernel lib path.
i'll try to make it work in 2.6 kernel these days.
