I'm looking for a text editor or viewer that can handle extremely large files, in other words it should not try and load the whole file in memory, instead it should load the file page by page as you go through it (and release the previous pages no longer displayed). |

emacs.
Almost any *nix text editor/viewer works directly from disk, loading just enough into memory to provide you with something to look at. _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /
