Has anybody had any joy with this setup? I cant get PCMCIA to work, and as there is no other CDROM drive I cant install. I get to a shell, and then gentoo cant mount the CDROM drive (despite reading off it thus far) |

I am finally installing my system using the knoppix terminal server. please PUT THIS FEATURE ON THE GENTOO CD!!!! It would make the lives of so many laptop users so much easier. I literally booted knoppix and typed:
Code: | su
/etc/init.d/knoppix-terminalserver start
sshstart |
Netbooted my laptop, fdisked, SCP'd the stage over and bagan a setup. Easy as pie! |
