You can do 'shift pgup' or 'shift pgdn' to page up and down in a terminal. Is there any way to move up and down one line at a time (without using a scrollbar, I am looking for something that would work on all terminals)? |

Pipe whatever you want to examine through less.
Should work with any *nix-standard program, i.e. anything that supports stdin and stdout.
Alternatively, you can man script and then view the output of that file in less. _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /

Just incase someone didn't know, you can do this in aterm since version 0.4.1 (i think) using shift+arrow (up or down). I don't use aterm but I know a lot of others do. |
