I've been running the gaming-sources happily for a while now and have just started trying to get a 2.6 kenel up and running.
When I boot up, I see a warning saying that gentoo requires that the kernel be built with DEVFS support and that it's detected that it's missing, followed by a wait 15 seconds or hit return message.
OK, I thought, I know that it was marked as obsolete in the configuration, but I'll stick it in anyway, so I did a rebuild with both CONFIG_DEVFS_FS and CONFIG_DEVFS_MOUNT set to y, installed the lernel but I still get the error.
Has anyone else seen this? Any guesses what I've screwed up here?
Thanks. |

Oh yes, it's about time that Gentoo will use 2.6 kernels and udev (and nptl for that matter) by default! _________________ "Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." - Abraham Lincoln
