Hello there fellow Gentoo'ers,
I recently switched over to X.org and so far its ok except for some oddities with some apps. One of them is opengl-update. When I boot or restart X, after doing an opengl-update xorg-x11 and then an opengl-update ati, I seems to loose its settings. What I mean is when I restart X, and run say glxgears, I get an error telling me that it cant locate the glx driver or something along those lines. Then, when I opengl-update xorg-x11, restart x, then opengl-update ati, it all works. Now I suppose I can create a script that will do this on start up but it seems a little redundant. I looked at lsmod and the fglx module is loaded when I get this error, and so is the agp driver, so I dont know what the problem is. In the Xorg.log, it mentiones something about not being able to resolve a modules path. However, when I drill down to the path, its there.
Anyone else seeing this problem?
Thanks
