Hi guys i'm thinking about emerging x.org with new installation. would i have to edit /etc/make.conf with X or not. |

You can view X.Org as a more-or-less drop-in replacement for XFree86. Do as you would have done with XFree86, and peek around the Desktop Environments forum a bit - there are a lot of X.Org threads there. _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto

Xorg-X11 is only a different package to XFree86. The only thing you need to do differently is "emerge xorg-x11" rather than "emerge xfree86" |
