when i have mounted a win98 filesystem as vfat,
i am able to browse it in the terminal
but when using the file open dialog (the one where you see files on the left and directories on the right)
I see all directories on the fs as files, not directories
Has anyone experienced this type of problem or know how it could be fixed ? |

I had this problem when I didn't have "users" in the options in /etc/fstab.
I'm not near my system right now to give you an exact line, but if you edit it, and look for the column where things like "noauto" are, just add "users" to the end, with a comma. like so:
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom noauto,ro,users
...obviously going for the line that you're interested in.
If that doesn't work, try "user"... instead of "users"... my memory isn't great.
Good luck! _________________ s/(?<!gnu\/)linux(?! kernel)/GNU\/Linux/gi
Don't blame me. I didn't vote for him.
