Custom Gentoo install CD?

Hi!

I'm not new in Linux (I use Slackware for some time) but this is my first look at Gentoo; so sorry if my questions is a bit stupid...

I would like to try Gentoo (it really seems interesting now) but at home (where I'm running Linux) I'm connected only through modem (and Czech Telecom is really expensive and the connection is unstable).

I reviewed the install howto on Gentoo homepage and it seems that install process *REQUIRES* connection to internet (to download the ebuilds).

So I would like to know if that is the only way how to install Gentoo... I've excellent access to Internet in school so the bset solution is to download ebuilds there and to create some my custom install CD. Is there any tool for preparing image of such CD? How the image shoud be like? Is it possible install complete Gentoo from CD at all?
