My husband and I currently have 2 Gentoo systems networked, both have cups installed. Our printer (Epson Color Stylus C60) is connected to his system and we can print fine from his. I, however, can only print test pages (from kde print manager and cups). When it comes to printing things from other apps (ANY text editor for example) the job gets set to the printer but nothing happens. I have searched countless forums and websites with nothing found to help me, does anyone have some idea on what I could be doing wrong (or just not doing)??

So are you sending the job to the other computer or just using CUPS locally? Maybe do a diff on the files in /etc/cups on the two systems (mainly printers.conf). I haven't used CUPS on Linux in a while becuase I prefer lpr-ng. If you're just printing locally then ensure all the CUPS listen and broadcast options are off on both PC's :)
