I currently have gentoo installed from a stage 3, i have everything all configured the way i like it.

Could I do a Stage 1 and if so would i have re-compile everything. Also would doing a stage 1 be worth it? (ie. Make my computer faster)

Why would you want to do a Stage 1 install now? You have you system set up so you don't need to do any more installing. If you want to change some things and try to make your computer faster, you can use "emerge -e world" to re-emerge all your packages.

Yup, but change your cflags first, otherwise not much will change performancewise

But rememeber, don't expect astronomical performance gains. CFLAGS are not magic.

Or change your "CFLAGS" and as time goes bye and you "emerge system and or world" it will all get updated soon enough.
