Ok I have an episode of an anime I am trying to watch and when I try to play it was playing fine but it gets to a point (about 1min 30 seconds in) and it crashes with a nice error about a bad frame.
First I tried rebuilding the index of the avi which resulted in a 1minute 30 seconds long file that was 200 megs . So I tried to re-encode the original... but that fails too.
Code: | Pos: 0.9s 22f ( 0%) 0fps Trem: 0min 0mb A-V:0.086 [0:151]
Skipping frame!
Pos: 39.0s 937f ( 5%) 39fps Trem: 7min 98mb A-V:0.072 [902:149]]
Broken frame at 0x73F20

That is my mencoder output when I try to re-encode it... So I was just wondering if anyone knew how I may be able to take out the bad frames? It is still within the theme song so I don't care if I take out a whole 5 second block if I have to... My video manipulation knowledge ends around the point I made it to. Also I can always just try to redownload it but I thought I would give this a shot first
Thanks for any suggestions... even if they are "go redownload it"

Well before redownloading it, try if it is possible to start looking the file after 2 minutes. Will this work'? Because if it doesnt, you defenitely have to redownload it ... maybe |
