Hi i'm really really new to this. This is my first time and i'm having difficuilty
I go to boot the CD and it says loading Stage 2 and then it just starts booting my OS what am i doing wrong ? i thought i did everything correct on the installation guide but apparently i'm doing something wrong. |

when you boot the liveCD it starts windows??
check the MD5sum of the ISO you burned. Also, make sure you finilize the CD _________________ If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit. |

umm i am using the Amd Package that is Universal not the Live one... |

If you mean you got the package CD, it's not bootable. It just contains precompiled packages.
Get a LiveCD If it's an Athlon 64, get an AMD64 livecd. If it's just a normal, get a x86 LiveCD. |

you need to boot from the live cd. then unmount the cdrom like this:
umount /mnt/cdrom
i'm not sure if the live cd will allow you this. if it does replace the cd with the amd packages one and remount the drive with:
mount /mnt/cdrom
if it doesn't let you unmount you need to copy the packages of the amd cd to a partition on your harddrive and mount that one. |
