Hi,
i have a asus m6800n and i tried to install gentoo 2004.1 on my notebook. Everytime i try to boot from livecd to install gentoo on my notebook. But the installation crash it by i8k.
I have no idea. Can anybody help me.

The cd hang. I don't get far enough to change the kernel. |

Booting with the option noacpi doesn't work too.
I have tried another way.
I have downloaded the experimental livecd 'gentoo-selinux-2004.0-i686-20040125.iso' and booted my notebook with this one. After this i transfered the required stage and portage file over ssh from my pc to my notebook.
No it works.
