When I run Konqueror, after a fairly short period of time, my machine seems to lock up. The mouse on the screen moves but doesn't allow me to click anything, but the keyboard is gone (caps lock key doesn't even turn the caps lock light on).
Strangely enough I can log into the computer using SSH, and X is using about 50% of the processor. If i send the X server the kill command, it doesn't do anything. If I use a kill -9, then the picture on the screen goes haywire and kills the mouse in addition to the already dead keyboard.
The only thing I can do is reboot.
How can I figure out what the hell is going on??

While sleeping, it occurred to me that the problem might be something to do with some graphics call that is made by konqueror.
So I removed mosfet-liquid-widgets, and removed the nvidia-driver. Now the problem is gone. I'm not sure which caused it, of it was just the combination of the two, but it's all good now. |
