Does anyone know a way to pause the startup sequence in order to write down any error messages that appear during startup? |

I am not sure of a way to stop during the boot process, but just check your log files (mine are in /var/log ) almost all error messages are also in there you just have to look at the right file. I use the tail command to view the end of the log to see if it hase my error messages.
tail /var/log/kernel/current
Shows me the end of the current kernel log file using metalog. Good luck and tell us what service the error message is popping up on and we can help with the log file. _________________ ~ Always ask questions!

The "dmesg" command is also a friend when it comes to printing kernel boot time messages. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
