|
I want to config Xorg to use my usb mouse but still keep the touchpad on my laptop working so I can switch back and forth if I need to. I am not sure which protocol or driver to use. Thanks in advance for any help.
The mouse is a USB Targus optical mouse. |

if it's a wheel mouse, it is IMPS/2
non-wheel mice use PS/2
And then add both to the server section of the config. |

If, while the next poster is at it, he/she could tell me why it might be that IMPS/2 setting doesn't work in KDE --though the peripherals | mouse is fully configured-- I would be most grateful.
I know the mouse works because it is working in XP, & another Linux distro installed on the same box. Wonder if I should take the xf86config file & x-fer it to the Gentoo installation. Couldn't work any worse than it is, I don't suppose, could it? _________________ ...Yogi |
