ok, i tried to search for an answer, and double.. er.. triplecheck that everything would be correct. what am I missing here:
/dev/hda2 /boot/ ext3 2 1
/dev/hda2 / ext3 0 1
/dev/hda3 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,ro 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda1 /mnt/winc vfat
/dev/hda5 /mnt/wind vfat
/dev/hda6 /mnt/wine vfat
/dev/hdb5 /mnt/winf vfat
/dev/hdb6 /mnt/wing vfat
for some reason the root filesystem won't remount in r/w mode. any suggestions? |

First off you have /dev/hda2 as being your root and boot partitions, which may be the case but is wise to have them seperate. Here is what I would say it should look like
Code: |
/dev/hda2 / ext3 noatime 0 1
/dev/hda2 /boot ext3 noatime 0 1
|
But I'm just guessing as I never put them on the same partition _________________ This message self destructed a long time ago. |

What I posted was if you had them on the same partition, but yes of course lilo works with gentoo. _________________ This message self destructed a long time ago. |
