Hi guys,
How do we install telnet on gentoo... and how is it configured ...??
I have installed using 2004.1 minimal live cd, kernel 2.6.5
Any links to detail documentation regarding telnet installation ?? |

The telnet client.... just like we have in windows 2000 professional...
I am a newbie... so I am trying to identify everything related to windows... |

you could use netkit-telnetd, the default linux telnet client and deamon. To get it:
emerge net-misc/netkit-telnetd.
If you have X running you could give putty a try. It is both a ssh (ver 1,2) and telnet client.
emerge net-misc/putty
