I'm trying to do my first gentoo amd64 desktop and am having trouble emerging opera. Firstly I got :-
# emerge opera
Calculating dependencies
!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy "opera" have been masked.
!!! possible candidates are:
- net-www/opera-6.12 (masked by: -* keyword)
- net-www/opera-7.50_beta1 (masked by: ~keyword)
- net-www/opera-7.23-r1 (masked by: ~keyword)
- net-www/opera-7.11-r2 (masked by: missing keyword)
- net-www/opera-7.50 (masked by: missing keyword)
!!! Error calculating dependencies. Please correct.
So I tried
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS='amd64' emerge -av net-www/opera-7.50
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies
!!! Problem in net-www/opera-7.50 dependencies.
!!! "Specific key requires an operator (net-www/opera-7.50) (try adding an '=')"
But now I'm not quite sure what to try next..any hints?

Hei
I had to use ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge -pv opera to see Opera 7.50 for my Pentium4, perhaps you need ~AMD64 ..

jackhammer root # ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64" emerge opera
