xchat mod question

i would like to be able to use msn in xchat. i realise one is an irc client and the other and IM client. after doing a bit of searching i found that there is something similair for mirc. is there something like this for xchat?

kopete is very nice but it is a pain having to swap apps the whole time.

You might try gAIM, IIRC it has an IRC client.

Not as feature-rich as xchat though.

I think bitlbee is what you're looking for. It's no xchat plugin but a kind of irc-gateway-daemon. It lets you login with your favourite irc client and then you can /msg to your contacts.
