anyone got this running ?
http://freshmeat.net/projects/skippy/?branch_id=50310&release_id=160828

I would like to see that in action.
as far i can see it depends on xft .. it builds, but when i try to run it i get :

Code:

[~/skippy-0.4.1] ./skippy
WARNING: Couldn't load config file '/home/ikaro/.skippyrc'.
X Error of failed request:  BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)
Major opcode of failed request:  33 (X_GrabKey)
Serial number of failed request:  87
Current serial number in output stream:  87
 [~/skippy-0.4.1]

might be cool if it works.

I know the developer thats making this try going onto #aegis and talk to hyriad to get more of an idea of what to do. From what i've heard skippy is pretty new so theres a few bugs to be worked out.

I gave it a try.

It is working fine with gnome, but I can´t get it to work with kde. :(
I´m getting the same error you get when I try to run it with kde.

There is an other strange issue. I copied the skippyrc-default to ~/.skippyrc but it somehow was deleted when restarting X the first time. Now it seems to work though. 8O

That's odd. It builds and works fine for me.

Relevant versions:
x.org 6.7.0
openbox 3.2-r1
imlib2 1.1.0
xft 2.0.1-r2

Now, trying to figure out how to set up the rc file seems to be quite daunting given the documentation (or lack thereof). :)
