Hello everyone,
I am having problems with installation of the openoffice on my gentoo 1.4.10. As a result of execution of "emerge --usepkg openoffice" my filesystem was 99% filled (it took up more than 3G). At that point I had to cancel emerge.
The obvious question is how to free this space up (I already tried "emerge -c") and perform the installation without taking this much hdd space up? |

First make sure no emerge session is running, then clean the temporary stuff
Code: |
rm -r /var/tmp/portage/*
|
Next install the binary version - as you mentioned --usepkg, it doesn't look like you want to compile openoffice from source.
Code: |
emerge openoffice-bin -a
|
