I use Konquerer on my Gentoo to access a share on a Windows XP computer.
The lisa deamon is running.
Transferring a file from Gentoo to the Windows-share works fine.
But transferring a file from the Windows-share to Gentoo stalls!
Running the samba deamon or compiling the smbfs (samba filesystem) into the kernel doesn't change a thing!
Anybody knows what I do wrong?

I recently encountered this problem, and found it to be an issue with Konqueror, rather than samba. Upgrading to the latest version of KDE sorted it out. Hope the same will work for you.

Yep I compiled the new kdebase 3.2.2 (was using 3.2.1) and my problems were solved!
Probably a bug in the Konquerer code! |
