hi all..
ok..i just finished install gentoo after a very loooong weekend...feewwwhh!
now i would to setup for my adsl cennection..do i need to dload and install rp-pppoe client into my gentoo or its already in there?...
bcoz when i try run adsl-setup,it returns bash error-command not found or somethin...its like the command is not recognize..plz help.thanx! |

I'm still a noob at this as well, but I think these would be your steps:
- boot from the LiveCD
- setup adsl with adsl-setup
- chroot into your install (like it says in the handbook)
- emerge -p rp-pppoe (to install rp-pppoe in your installation)
- adsl-setup
- exit the chroot and reboot
It's been sometime since I set up my rp-pppoe client so I'm not sure, but if `esearch pppoe` in your current install does not produce an installed package, this would probably be the way to solve it.
I think what happened is, you missed step 10.d in the Gentoo Handbook. |

what exactly i need to look for?plz explain coz i'm 100% new to linux ya know t.q
and also ..i did the USE="-X" emerge rp-pppoe but somehow it returns some error or something during my installation..so i skipped.. heh.. |
