I Did a stage 2 install of gentoo, but X won't start up properly and I cannont get in to a Window Manager.

I don't know how to be specific about the error, but if someonce can tell me how, that would be greatly appreciated.

Code:
X10: fatal IO error 104(connection reslet by peer) on X server ":0.0" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

Code:

(EE) Unable to locate/open config file
(EE) Error from xf86HandleConfigFile

No screens found

Help?!?

Do you have a xorg.conf/XF86Config in /etc/X11?

This is from my XF86Config, is it in yours?

Code:

Section "ServerLayout"
        Identifier     "Default Layout"
        Screen      0  "Screen0" 0 0
        InputDevice    "Mouse0" "CorePointer"
        InputDevice    "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard"
        InputDevice    "DevInputMice" "AlwaysCore"
EndSection

(later in the file)
Code:

Section "Screen"
        Identifier "Screen0"
        Device     "Videocard0"
        Monitor    "Monitor0"
        DefaultDepth     16
        SubSection "Display"
                Depth     16
                Modes    "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
        EndSubSection
EndSection

Notice the occurences of "screen", you should have something similar in your xorg.conf/XF86Config file.

yeah, if you don't have that file, you'll need to make it.
I can post my old RH XF86Config file as an example if you want, but you'll have to change alot of stuff.
If you're using XOrg, it would be /etc/X11/xorg.conf
/etc/X11/XF86Config for XFree
