|
|
I just finished my installation of gentoo 2004.1 but I realized I messed up the fstab config:
/dev/BOOT /boot reiserfs ....
/dev/ROOT / reiserfs ....
/dev/SWAP none swap ...
As you can see I forgot to change BOOT, ROOT, and SWAP. Ugh, what can I say, I was in a hurry . When I try to boot in I get all sorts of error messages but all I really want to know is how can I get access to the fstab file? Right now, I can see it but I can't save any changes since the filesystem is read only. Thanks for any help, cheers!

Boot with the live-cd, mount the drive with /etc and edit the file. Then just reboot and it's done _________________ 72 of Pitcairn Islands 49 inhabitants use Seti@Home
