yes, this must be the easiest question out there, and I looked at the docs but I still couldn't fully grasp it.

I originally had my natsemi driver to load at boot throught the kernel as a module, but that didn't work.

My question is: What (and how) is the best way to load the natsemi driver automatically at boot? will it automatically run dhcpcd?

the way i have been getting it to work is by

#modprobe natsemi
#dhcpcd eth0

add the module name to /etc/module.autoload.d/kernel-2.x
edit /etc/conf.d/net
and then do rc-update add net.eth0 default
